Abstract
This is an analysis of the human skeletal remains from the Roosevelt Platform Mound site located in the Tonto Basin of Arizona. The research design for this study included nine descriptive domains and their related theoretical and problem-oriented considerations. These domains, as applied to the examination of the skeletal remains, included sex ratio, life span, somatic measurements, life history, health, discrete traits, bone alteration, spatial coherence, and biocultural associations (p. 181). The sample chosen for study was based on the material gathered from six years of field work by the Roosevelt Platform Mound Study group (RPMS), supplemented by burial excavations by the author and his graduate students.
