By: Kisselburg, JoAnn.

Abstract
Kisselburg's analysis of the artifacts and the households they were found in indicates economic specialization occurred at the Hohokam community of Marana. There is evidence for ceramic production, agave fiber processing, and for exchange of obsidian, shell, turquoise, quartz crystals, and clay pipes. Some of these items also indicate some ceremonial activities (quartz crystals and clay pipes).
