prehistoric pueblo world, a.d. 1150-1350Tucson • Published In 1996 • Pages: 228-240

By: Cordell, Linda S..

Abstract
Cordell, as a discussant, synthesizes the data from the previous chapters for the entire Pueblo III region. She reviews and comments 'on what [she sees] as the salient characteristics of the Pueblo III period ... [She discusses] the effects of the decline of Chaco and the development of aggregated communities in some detail. Changes in settlement layout, territorial shrinkage, new patterns of integration, and the development of Pueblo Indian ideological systems are touched on far more briefly.' (page 228).
