Abstract
This work is a systematic study of two distinct structural clusters, groups 4F-1 and 4F-2, occupying an oval hillock centered 350 meters west and slightly north of the Tikal Reservoir. Many of these structures, which were probably residential, were extensively excavated with the intent to record all known data on groups 4F-1 and 4F-2 in order to identify the function of each structure investigated and to reconstruct the history of the two groups involved. In addition the topics of architecture, burials, caches, problematical deposits, pottery and artifacts, were scrutinized separately for the pertinency to structural usage (p. 2).
