Abstract
This work, in Spanish, is an interpretative study of the origins of the Mellacoides people through the analysis of their ceramic ware. The study focuses primarily on Rio Joba and Rio Verde in the provinces of Espaillat and LaVega in the Dominican Republic. The author traces the dispersion of the Mellacoida ware from Guyuana through the Greater and Lesser Antilles to Cuba.
