Abstract
This document describes the botanical offerings were found with burials at Pacatnamu in the Jequetepeque Valley. Most were found in gourd bowls or plates. Maize, bottle gourd seeds, and seaweed were the most common. Maize found in refuse middens had 8-10 rows of kernels, distinct from that with 14-16 rows found in graves. Food offerings, which were mostly agricultural, differ with midden remains that indicate a diet dependent on fish and shellfish. A table lists botanical offerings by burial.
