Abstract
Ten cane coffins, one well persevered, were found at Pacatnamu in the Jequetepeque Valley. The authors made a study the dimensions, materials, and construction of Moche cane coffins, partly by building a full-scale replica. This allowed them to understand the quantity of materials needed and to estimate the time and labor required.
