Abstract
This summary chapter of an edited volume presents research questions that may further investigation of human adaptation and culture change by studying the Pleistocene-Holocene transition. There is concern that the emphasis on regional variation evident within the volume chapters only makes it harder to formulate cross-cultural comparisons and generalizations.
