Abstract
The author presents ethnographic data from the artic of Canada and the United States useful for the interpretation of archaeological data from similar environments. There are descriptions of houses including their locations and seasonal use, food storage facilities, and the use of bone, antler, and stone, along with discussion of their potentials for preservation in the archaeological record.
