Abstract
This document reviews the evidence for pre-Clovis inhabitants at four sites: Bluefish Caves in the Yukon, Nenana Valley in Alaska, Monte Verde in Chile, and Meadowcroft Rockshelter in Pennsylvania (with emphasis on the latter, where the author worked). These four sites provide good stratigraphy, artifacts clearly manufactured by humans, and multiple, consistent radiocarbon dates.
