By: Clark, Annette McFadyen.

Abstract
Clark discusses known and possible trade relations between the Koyukuk Indians and the Eskimos. Most of the evidence for prehistoric trade in Alaska is obsidian of Koyukuk origin. Details about how the trade was conducted and what else was traded is unknown until contact times. Clark discusses some of what is known about trade relationships and what was traded during contact times. She speculates that intertribal trading partnerships which existed in the past may account for some of the inland phases of cultures such as Choris, Norton, and Ipiutak.
