Abstract
Kanaseki briefly describes the introduction of Yayoi culture into Japan and then, as an expert in ceramics, describes the ceramics of the early Yayoi period. He goes on to discuss the Doigahama cemetery and proposes population figures for the cemetery and the associated community. The Go site is also discussed as also showing a population shift at the end of the Early Yayoi period.
