Abstract
This document provides brief overviews of the cultures in China around the time of the Last Glacial Maximum, with comparisons between the various regions. Relevant North China sites are: Shiyu, Upper Cave (Zhoukoudian), Xiaonanhai, Xiachuan, Xueguan, Xiaogushan, Daxianzhuang, Salawusu (which the authors date to 50,000-35,000 BP), and Shuidonggou.
