Okladnikov describes the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, and Bronze age cultures of central Asia (mostly the former Soviet Union) from the Urals to the mouth of the Amur River in the far east. Much of the text is either outside the time period or outside the culture area so the reader should use caution when using this document. This document describes the pastoral cultures of the former Soviet Union in more detail than the other documents in this file. Described are the tools, ceramics, bronze artifacts with some description of the metalurgy, mortuary practices, and some of the religious beliefs.
