Abstract
An Zhimin presents an overview of the Neolithic cultures of western China starting around 5200 B.C. Cultures around the upper Yellow River are compared to ones in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Tibet. Stone tools, ceramics, and burial practices are compared.
