This volume provides a detailed account of the excavations and findings for the 1922-1927 field seasons at Mohenjo-Daro. During these early years of the project few of the lower levels were reached, so coverage pertains largely to the Late and Intermediate periods. Many archaeologists participated, including ones from the Archaeological Survey of India, and other experts provide studies of the Indus script, the chemistry of the metals and ceramics, the weights, the fauna, and the human remains.
