Abstract
This is a report on the findings from the excavations at Kaothe, a single cultural component, seasonal, early farming community in Maharashtra. In comparison to other Chalcolithic sites, Kaothe has very few stone tools and an abundance of bone tools. The fieldwork itself is briefly described.
