Prakash 1955: a Chalcolithic site in the Tapti Valley

Abstract
The strata in an enormous trench excavated through the site of Prakash are divided into Periods I-IV. Period I dates to the Chalcolithic; a weathered surface and a six-hundred year hiatus in occupation mark the end of the component. The finds from all four strata are described in detail. In addition, there is analysis of the carbonized plant remains.
