Scandinavian Iron Age tradition was found in Scandinavia between 2500 and 1500 BP. The tradition includes manufacture of iron arrow points, swords, and plowshares; and finely made and elaborate gold and silver objects. Inhabitants practiced a mixed agricultural economy which included some hunting and fishing. Settlement patterns consisted of both dispersed farmsteads and some hamlet-sized clusters of farms. Hill forts appeared late in the Iron Age and were associated with rise of a warrior-led political system.
