Hulthén carried out petrographic, chemical, and thermic analyses of ceramic artifacts and raw clay from the an Iron Age site to determine the source of clay and the methods of manufacture. Clay fragments tempered with ash and crushed quartz were used in crucibles or moulds. She concludes that the pottery was not locally manufactured.
