Abstract
This is a report on the petrographic analysis of the clay used in the pottery found at found Gårdlösa. Nordström classified the material according to the proportions of crushed rock material and water-transported sand material found in the clay. He identified four types of clay material each associated with a particular period: Fabrics A and B from the Iron Age, Fabric C from the Late Bronze Age, and Fabric D from the Roman Age.
