This article tries to place the Natufian culture of the northern Levant within the overall Natufian cultural area and chronology. According to the author archeological evidence in Jayroud indicates the presence of ancient Natufian culture in the northern Levant. The author examines more closely the tool assemblages and chronology of Mureybet and their relationship to the local environment.
