Campana comments on the function of the bone bipoints called gorgets, the use of abrasion verses shaving to make bone implements, and the meaning of the decorative motifs found on the bone hafts. He used a sample of the bone artifacts from Hayonim Cave for analysis and compared the sample to other sites in Israel.
