Abstract
Wilkinson discusses the soils and cultural landscape features of the Balikh valley from the Pre-Pottery Neolithic up through the Islamic period. The work was based upon air-photos and field studies that included soil profiles. Only the material that pertains to the Halaf period was indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects.
