Abstract

This article, in Russian, presents a critical review of the monograph by Anatolii Mikhailovich Khazanov entitled 'Sotsial'naia istoriia skifov: Osnovnye problemy razvitiia drev. kochevnikov evraziisk', document no. 3 in this file. The author is particularly critical of Khazanov's concepts of social structure and social organization as well as political structure, and ideas about tribute, slavery, and ritualized friendships such as blood brotherhood.
