Oates discusses the Late Uruk to the Early Dynastic levels excavated at Tell Brak. Area CH contains levels dated to the Late Uruk/'Jemdet Nasr' period. The ceramics are described and a seal, a bulla, and a tablet were also found. These indicate contact with southern Mesopotamia.
