Abstract
This is the introduction to eHRAF documents nos. 14-46. Oates discusses why they worked at Tell Brak and how the data is arranged in the documents. There is a brief description of the environment and a valuable chronological chart that correlates the areas and levels excavated at Tell Brak with the archaeological period, time, and a few diagnostic artifacts.
