Abstract
Plain sherds, Ninevite 5 sherds, and Stone Ware sherds from Tell Brak were analyzed using ICP-AES (inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy) and WD-XRF (wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence) in order to obtain information on local and imported products. Sites with chemical analyses of sherds within northern Mesopotamia were compared to Tell Brak to gain understanding of where the imports might have been coming from. More information is needed to fully answer that problem. Only the data that pertain to the Akkadian period (Stone Ware and plain sherds) were indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects.
