Abstract
This document consists of a large collection of royal inscriptions relevant to the kings of the Akkadian and Gutian periods from the accession of Sargon of Akkad to the beginning of the reign of Ur-Nammu of Ur. These inscriptions, translated from the original cuneiform, deal largely with political and historical events of each king's reign either recorded by the sovereign himself or by one of his servants about the specific king in question. Most of the translated insciptions presented here are prefaced by a brief summary of its contents, followed by a bibliography, the transliterated text and its English translation.
