Abstract
This is the second of the investigated sites at the mouth of Wadi Kubbaniya (see site E-81-3, eHRAF document no. 8 for the other site). It also has debitage dominated by quartz and also has a 'high incidence of fish among the faunal remains.' (page 335). This site appears to have been occupied to exploit the fish trapped in dune ponds after the recession of the Nile flood. Both sites, E-81-3 and E-81-4, are similar in tools and reasons for occupation, but E-81-4 appears to be the earlier site.
