By: Reger, Douglas R..

Abstract
Reger looks at sites in Cook Inlet to determine when Athapaskans verses Eskimos occupied which parts of the Inlet. Beluga Point site in the Upper Cook Inlet and Moose River site in the Middle Cook Inlet are described. Reger believes Components I and II from Beluga Point site, which date from 4500 B.C. to 2000 to 3000 B.C. are Athapaskan related components. Beluga Pint Component III and Moose River site, House 1 should be assigned to an Eskimo occupation.
