By: Thorson, Paula J., Styles, Bonnie Whatley.

Abstract
Thorson and Styles analyzed the Late Archaic faunal remains. The remains came from screened and floated material. '…Forest and forest edge were important resources zones for all occupationshellip;' (page 72). Fish was most abundant in Strata 8EC and 9E. The bone was examined for human modification such as burning or tool manufacture. The fauna mostly indicate a Spring to Fall occupation. The faunal data also confirm Modoc was a base camp occupation.
