Invertebrate fauna from the Walling truncated mound site (Ma°50)
Middle Woodland culture and Copena in the Tennessee Valley, by Vernon James Knight, Jr • [University] • Published In 1990 • Pages: 152-153
By: Styer, Kenneth F..
Abstract
Styer analyzed the invertebrate remains from a pit from the 3/4 level. The pit is probably Mississippian in age. Even though the source is probably outside the time period of the Middle Woodland it has been included so the complete document ('Excavation of the Truncated Mound at the Walling Site: Middle Woodland Culture and Copena in the Tennessee Valley') can be read. Only the data that pertain to field work at the site and analysis of the remains have been indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects.
