Description of human skeletal remains from Site Ma°50

Middle Woodland culture and Copena in the Tennessee Valley, by Vernon James Knight, Jr[University] • Published In 1990 • Pages: 153-156

By: DeLuca, Michael A., Turner, Kenneth R..

Abstract
DeLuca and Turner analyzed the human remains from the mound. The remains are probably from Fill 4 and are likely Mississippian in age. Even though this source is probably outside the time period of Middle Woodland it has been included so the complete document ('Excavation of the Truncated Mound at the Walling Site: Middle Woodland Culture and Copena in the Tennessee Valley') can be read. Only the data that pertain to field work at the site and analysis of the remains have been indexed for OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) subjects.
