Adena people, , by William S. Webb and Raymond S. Baby • (2) • Published In 1973 • Pages: 47-60
By: Snow, Charles E. (Charles Ernest), Baby, Raymond S..
Abstract
Snow describes the Adena physical type, mostly based on the cranial material. He compares them to the Shell Mound and Fort Ancient peoples. Skull deformation and a few of the phsical abnormalities are described. Snow then explores the possible origins of the Adena people and concludes they probably came from Mexico; a hypothesis most anthropologist would no longer agree with.
