Abstract
This review summarizes briefly the evidence for the Middle Mississippian presence in Minnesota as well as other related cultural complexes, and the various sociocultural processes that may have inegrated people in the state between approximatedly 1000 and 1300 A.D. In the final section of this paper the author discusses some of the problems that remain in understanding the Middle Mississippian presence in Minnesota (p. 207).
