By: Rogers, J. Daniel.

Abstract
This study reviews some of the major themes that fall under the heading of 'household archaeology'. Using a worldwide set of examples, Rogers looks at how households have been defined in the past and at the substantive issues of spatial analysis, social and population dynamics, subsistence, and other related economic activities. The general context of this work narrows to a focus on previous studies of Mississippian households in the Midwest and Southeast.
