Faunal remains as indicators of neothermal climates at Hogup Cave: [Appendix II]
Hogup Cave, [by] C. Melvin Aikens • (93) • Published In 1970 • Pages: 241-245
By: Durrant, Stephen David.
AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
Durrant examines the faunal remains to see if they indicate that past climatic conditions were different at Hogup especially if they changed during the Altithermal as proposed by Antevs. He concludes there were no gross changes and that mammalian fauna was very similar to what is there today. Only the data that pertain to Unit I are marked for Outline of Cultural Material (OCM) codes.
