Abstract
Elson describes the various methods used to further develop a chronology for the lower Tonto basin, especially for the Preclassic period. Emphasis is placed on dating specific features and deposits. Discussed are several ceramic dating methods, radiocarbon dating, tree-ring dating, and archaeomagnetic dating.
