Abstract
This article serves as an introduction to a series of studies on the archaeology of the Tehuacan Valley appearing in the eHRAF archaeology collection on the Highland Mesoamerican Archaic period NY40 as documents 4-10. The authors discuss the methods and theory of the investigation, and the final organization of the publications.
