Abstract
MacNeish and Nelken-Terner summarize the last 40,000 years of perhistory in Mesoamerica. The last few pages discuss the Archaic from 7000 B.P. to 4000 B.P. Only a few sies from the Lowlands are discussed as most of the work at that time had been done in the highlands of Mexico.
