Forsyth reports on the ceramic sherds he and his team collected from the surface and small excavations at 12 sites in the Petén. He identifies sherds from Preclassic Chicanel and Mamom, Early Classic Tzakol, and Late Classic Tepeu horizons. The purpose of the project is to gain some idea of the time periods and cultural affiliations of the particular sites.
