Abstract
This guide book to Tikal gives a good overview of Tikal and the Classic Maya in general. The book was written to guide the visitor through a tour of Tikal and it describes the more important temples, palaces, stelae, altars, and burials. It includes photos and drawings of some of the finer artifacts and of some of the structures. However, the captions to the figures are not always on the same page; in some cases the caption is two pages away from the figure. In order to view the caption with the appropriate figure the reader may have to scroll through the entire document.
