Abstract
Kintz analyzes the platform mounds that do not contain any apparent superstructures. These platforms are found scattered throughout the 13 zones of the city. Most were probably used for cottage industries or guild activities. Kintz points out that excavation of these and adjacent areas is needed to fully test this hypothesis.
