By: Ball, Joseph W..

Abstract
This article surveys the archaeological evidence for the Postclassic-Protohistoric periods in central eastern Campeche, with particular reference to its ceramic ware and architectural remains. To see the actual collective significance of the gathered data, Ball compares his findings to the archaeological and ethnohistorical information available for regions adjacent to central eastern Campeche, such as south central Quintana Roo, central Campeche, and the northeastern Petén (Guatemala).
