Abstract
Ball presents several paradigms for interpreting Maya history (such as when the rise and fall of Chichen Itza occurred and who are associated with it). He uses the Maya Books of CHILAM BALAM as a start for these paradigms. In discussing the culture history he also discusses trade and trade routes.
