Abstract
Marsadolov compares the similarities between the Cimmerian and the Pazyryk Cultures (Godion Tumuli, Turkey and Altai barrows, Russia); especially between their burial traditions, art work, and headresses. He points out that the Maiemir tribes of the Altai in the 8th-7th centuries B.C. had very different burial traditions than the following Pazyryk Culture. Masadolov believes the Cimmerians may have immigrated to the Altai from Asia Minor sometime in the late 7th or early 6th centuries B.C.
