Benavides describes architecture and some of the findings (miniatures, human femur lamps, etc.) from the section of Huari known as Cheqo Wasi. Benavides proposes, '… the central structure at Cheqo Wasi was devoted to a cult of the dead … this structure is virtually surrounded by complexes of funerary chambers.' (page 68).
