Abstract
This article presents a brief description of the Aymara lake kingdoms located in the Andean region of southern Peru, Bolivia, and northern Chile. To facilitate the discussion of the archaeological information on these kingdoms, the author presents a succinct account of the cultures of the period, particularly the altiplano region, the Mollo and Churajón cultures, the coastal region, and eastern Bolivia and northwestern Argentina.
