By: Longo, Laura.
Abstract
This chapter analyses the lithic artifacts to discerne how they were used and on what material. Seventy artifacts were examined. Longo used low power, high power, and SEM observation of resin moulds to look for use wear traces. The lab procedures are described along with the wear traces found on each tool examined. The tools 'indicate that there is often no correlation between typology, utilization and site function.' (page 41). She also found a high percentage of projectile points in the analyzed collection.
